As soon as Dussehra gathering at Shivaji Park was allowed, cases were filed against Shiv Sainiks in Kankavli..

Kankavli: After the Bombay High Court allowed the Shiv Sena's Thackeray faction to hold a Dussehra gathering at Shivaji Park in Mumbai, slogans and cheers were fired in front of the Shiv Sena central office in Kankavli yesterday, Friday. However, cases have been registered against Shiv Sena officials and Shiv Sainiks for violating the injunction imposed by the District Collector.

In this Shiv Sena corporator Kanhaiya Parkar, Chairman of Navratri Festival Committee Ramdas Vikhale, Adv. Harshad Gawde, Wagde sarpanch Rupesh Amdoskar, sub-city chief Pramod Masurkar, Yuva Sena sub-taluk chief Sachin Achrekar have been charged against ten to twelve people. The police informed that the case has been registered due to violation of injunction by coming to public places and shouting slogans, setting off firecrackers.
Shiv Sainiks in Kankavli expressed their happiness by bursting firecrackers as soon as the Dussehra gathering was allowed. They also made loud slogans on this occasion. Such sloganeering or bursting of firecrackers during the injunction is a violation of the injunction. If we can be booked for violating the injunction, then why have these cases not been booked?

This question was raised by Shinde group activist Sunil Parkar. He also warned that if the crime is not filed by today, Saturday morning, then he will submit a statement to the Kankavali police. However, police have already registered cases against Shiv Sainiks late at night.
